Ellesmere Children's Centre
ECC, as a charity, has recently diverged into two new services to support the local community further. One service, called EMOSI, provides counselling and therapy for children between 2 and 12 years old. The service provides therapy to enhance the mental and emotional well-being of the children.
The second service provides a unique multipurpose space that can be used for events, classes and small businesses that align with ECCs ethos regarding a charitable, community-focused educational organisation. The project will continue to invest in the empowerment of Black women in leadership through structured mentoring, coaching and peer support.
Family resilience will be further supported through the expansion of culturally-informed counselling services. We are committed to ensuring that we eradicate any forms of discrimination. We support women who have been subjected to violence and trafficking and have contacted the relevant agencies for additional support. Our ethos is to provide a service in which we foster good respectful relationships between all cultures and have demonstrated our work over a period of time.
Our family-oriented workshops, early-learning groups, parenting support, and community events are open to all local residents and actively attract participants from a wide range of cultural groups. We design sessions to encourage shared activities, mutual support, and collaboration between parents and carers, helping to reduce barriers created by language, culture, or social isolation.
